“We will dive deep into ourselves, explore our body and mind, face our issues, clean and let go, so we can find our true self, a self that is complete and happy.

This yoga retreat will interweave asana practice with mythic narrative and yogic teachings to create a rich experience of alignment. Elas gentle and compassionate dedication to yoga inspires and holds space for students to journey deeper into their body, heart, mind, and spirit.

Ela will teach Hatha Yoga Flow (Yang Yoga), drawing from different styles and Restorative Yoga (Yin) as a meditative practice, balancing the dynamic power of flow, with the softness and stillness of meditation. She encourages each person to connect with his or her own body and mind bringing a strong focus on the breath, guiding into precise body alignment & deep relaxation within.
These ancient yogic techniques take you on a deep journey into your inner core, gently peeling layers of physical, mental and emotional tension. The exploration through meditation, inquiry and body awareness, will support you to re-connect with your true self. Through this transformative practice you will discover a place of rest (rejuvenation) and relaxation.

Towards the end of the retreat we will practice “in silence” for one day (verbal guidance will still be given throughout this period). This is an integral part of the retreat, which all participants are encouraged to engage in fully. This practice is carefully designed also for participants who are unfamiliar with silence techniques. You will be surprised by the ease of the practice and the deep relaxation that it provides.

This retreat is suitable for all levels and backgrounds. Each person receives individual attention, adjustments and encouragement to go beyond any self-imposed limitations.

The whole retreat will be held in “english” !

 

What to expect

  •  A quiet week to relax, renew and dive deeper into inner exploration surrounded by nature
  • A small and intimate group ensuring maximum attention to guide you on your personal journey
  • Yang Yoga Flow & Meditation practice in the morning (6 days) and Yin /Restorative Yoga in the afternoon (at least 3 days according to the group)
  • Classes include Pranayama (breathing exercises), Yoga Flow practice, Restorative Yin practice, guided relaxation and Meditation (passive and active techniques), alignment and theory. The morning classes will be more dynamic and up-lifting. The afternoon classes more restorative and meditative
  • Various meditation sessions in the morning and/or evening
  • Individual consultations and support
  • There will be talks and space to explore practical tools that can be applied daily to reduce stress and support a healthy life
  • Daily breakfast brunch as well as fresh drinking water, tea, fruits and cookies during the day
  • Abundant dinners at the end of each day
  • All foods will be vegetarian, organic and/or local (vegan option possible)
  • Plenty of time to integrate, walks in nature, exploration of the surrounding and trips to the beach

Finca Casa Rana

Finca Casa Rana is located very quiet south of the historic town of Campos in the southeast of the island. The finca is Surrounded by vast fields and in the immediate vicinity of a horse farm and other smaller farms. Es Trenc, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, can be reached in just 10 minutes by car.

Here, in the midst of the beauty of nature, you can enjoy the energizing quietness, escape the tensions of everyday life and really feel yourself again. Large shady palm trees, a courtyard adjacent to the course room and the great view of meadows and fields will unwind your soul. The property and the immediate neighbourhood offer numerous opportunities to recharge and meditate. And in autumn, our small winery invites you to the annual wine harvest.

The village of Campos with numerous shops (supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and a market every Saturday) is about 3km away. The beautiful steep cliff line is located about 15km southeast of us. To the airport it takes about 30 minutes by car and to Palma around 35 minutes (30km).

We will be accommodated in cosy spacious apartments, all with a little kitchen, living room and its own terrace. The Apartments will be shared between 2 to 5 people in different rooms. Please contact us for further details.

Early Bird price (payable until the May 1st ) € 790,-  /  Cancellation agreement: Reservation Fee to safe your spot is € 300,- (non refundable)  /  If the retreat does not take place, all payments will be refunded.

There are no single rooms. Apartments will be shared between 2 to 5 people in different rooms (Double and/or Twin Beds as well as comfortable full size sleeping couch), depending on the number of participants in the retreat.

There will be a maximum of 10 participants.

Pick up´s and drop off´s at the airport can be organised (not included in the price of the retreat). If you are taking a rental car we could organise some ride sharing. I’m happy to help if possible.

We will all come together for dinner on Wednesday evening and start the retreat with an opening circle. Please try to be early enough so you will have some time for yourself to arrive. The retreat will close on Wednesday at around noon after a closing circle.

About Veda Ela

Veda Ela is an International Yoga Teacher who is passionate about sharing the path of a yogic life style. She is a Dancer, Yoga & Meditation teacher who studied in India and Europe. She travels and teaches in Argentina, Costa Rica, India, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Ibiza and Mallorca. Veda Ela studied Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance and various forms of Hatha Yoga and Meditation techniques. She also holds a degree in Philosophy and Literature.

She has over 25 years of experience in supporting people finding more comfort, clarity and joy on the mat and into their lives.”

Decades ago while living in India, Ela fell in love with yoga under the guidance of yoga Master Indra Devi (from the Krishnamacharya tradition). Veda Ela has been also influenced by the style of yoga teachers in the West like: Judith Lassater, Shiva Rea, John Friend, Rodney Yee and Sarah Powers amongst many others. Veda Ela’s teaching have been continuously evolving, finally leading into the creation of her own style that merges the eastern and western traditions.

She works according to the level of the students mainly with a gentle but powerful flow of asanas, Yin & Restorative Yoga, Breath Awareness, Meditation and Self-enquiry, creating space to rest within moments of stillness and opening the door to Silence.

Veda Ela loves music and considers it essential in her daily life. “Music can change your mood, heal and help transform your life” she says. As a Dj she used to be, music is an inspiring element in her yoga work.
Ela brings passion, sincerity and presence into her classes, workshops and Teacher Trainings, imparting a sense of enthusiasm, curiosity and acceptance towards the yoga practice.

She lives and teaches in Pachamama. She is one of the pioneers of this Eco-village with an alternative lifestyle located in the pristine forest of Costa Rica. PachaMama is based in awareness, meditation and the respect for Mother Earth and the environment. From April to July Ela travels to Europe to share her classes, workshops, retreats and Yoga Teacher Trainings.
